Giligan's Restaurant
Giligan's Restaurant at SM City Batangas
Part of our family date out is to try new restaurants once in a while. And coincidentally, a new food hub beside Max's just opened a week ago. And unlike any other resto inside the mall, this one's totally pack with lots of shoppers which made us fell to wait outside for almost half an hour.
The time a group of customers left the reserved seat for us, other staff lent it to walk in customers. Dad told us to find other restaurant as he nagged with disappointment (he's a low tempered person, mind you). Yet Mom insisted not to, since we have waited too much for a seat.
At last, our attending staff escorted us to a comfy and roomy couch good for four. At least they regained their customer's satisfaction despite the loathsome start. Hehe.
Mom, sis and Dad did enjoyed the pirate ship-like view inside the resto.
They have a lot of dishes to choose from. Vegetable dishes, fresh tuna sashimi and Filipino viands (steaks, salpicao plus cordon bleu, etc) are their specialties. Nothing new actually except from those All-Rice promos. Group meals include variety of viands, drinks plus unlimited rice serving.
Named as G1 (for Php500), we ordered this group meal for four pax which includes 1/4 Fried Garlic Chicken, Inihaw na Baboy, Sinigang na Bangus (Milkfish) Belly, Iced Tea and 1 Rice Platter (unlimited).
You'll find their food filling though. But their Sinigang was too sour and the belly was broken into pieces. You'll love to dine at Giligan's Restaurant if you have a large appetite. Next time, I guess we'll try their Chef's Specials' Roast Beef 178. ;D

DeleteWe have Giligan here too and it just opened. I'm not sure if the price is the same as some restaurants have lower rates here in Gensan than their counterpart in Manila (sarap ng buhay dito noh?) but the one we have here is really affordable so it's always packed with people.
